Speedy spa treatment:

Squirt the juice of ½ a lemon into a basin, add boiling water and a splash of rose water. Hold your face over the steam, covering your head with a towel, breath deeply and pat your face dry afterwards.

Cleanse your skin using almond or sunflower oil. Apply lightly to your face and neck rub in gently, leave for a minute and remove using a damp cloth.

Sooth red blotchy skin by dipping a flannel in milk and applying it to your face.

Forget expensive toners—splash your face with cold water t help circulation.

Stick to pale shades of polish. Chips are easier to repair than with darker shades, and far less obvious.

Repair a broken nail in a jiffy:

Apply a base coat, then fix a tiny piece of dry tea bag over the break and seal with your nail polish and a top coat.

To beat under eye bags, keep a couple of spoons in the freezer and place over your eyes for 5 minutes to help reduce puffiness around the eyes.
